Richie Ray is a dedicated advocate for City Letter Carriers, committed to strengthening Region 15 of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC). His campaign is built on a foundation of advocacy, education, transparency, and leadership accessibility.

Mission Statement

To build a stronger, more effective Region 15 of the NALC that puts City Letter Carriers first by prioritizing advocacy, education, and accountability. Through relentless commitment to training, transparency, and proactive support, we aim to protect and empower letter carriers while fostering unity and respect across the region.

Campaign Priorities

1. Empowering Through Education

• Establish a Steward College for advanced training on just cause, PDI representation, grievance handling, and note-taking.

• Deploy mobile training teams to branches that cannot attend regional sessions.

• Provide real-time grievance templates to streamline processes.

2. Enhancing Communication and Transparency

• Host monthly Zoom calls with branch presidents to discuss challenges and gather feedback.

• Organize quarterly meetings with branch leaders and district managers.

• Relaunch the Region 15 Podcast to keep members informed.

3. Advocating with Accountability

• Develop a Rapid-Response Steward Team to support overwhelmed branches.

• Enforce workplace respect and address abusive management practices.

• Maintain high standards in arbitration and grievance resolutions.

4. Building Accessible and Supportive Leadership

• Assign each branch a direct contact within the NBA office.

• Regularly visit branches to provide in-person guidance.

• Expand the leadership team with specialists in safety, OWCP, arbitration, and grievance oversight.

5. Delivering Results

• Prioritize impactful grievance resolutions with enforceable changes.

• Implement compliance monitoring to track resolved grievances.
